The fit was just right. The quality of these lederhosen is much greater than other competitors found on amazon.

The first thing that I noticed about these Lederhosen is that they are very well made--real leather and look great. The challenge is getting them on... If you just try to pull them on, it will be a failure. You need to unbutton a few buttons and loosen some laces at the back to have a prayer of getting them in place. Even then, they are a bit tight around the thighs, so I would agree with the other reviewers who state that these run small. Having gotten that far, you will have to figure out how to get the suspenders on, and realize that you needed to attach them in the back *before* you pulled on the bottom unless you are a contortionist (or have a wife to do it, as I did) because you cannot reach the buttons. Maybe this is self-evident; I don't typically wear suspenders, but it was still a bit annoying. Once we figured that out, we had to figure out how to connect them and quickly realized that they were way too short--I'm only 5'10", which I think is a pretty normal size, but these were way too short. We also noticed that the suspenders did not match in color. Luckily, there was a spare set of suspenders and these were a small bit longer and the right color, so we swapped them out and were able to get the Lederhosen on. After the effort involved, I still found them a little tight everywhere, but given I plan to wear these for Halloween, I figured I could survive one night. I will say that after wearing them a few hours, the leather seemed to stretch or relax and they became more comfortable, so if you are only feeling slightly tight, give them a chance.
